SUMMER ACTIVITIES

Walking and hiking in the beautiful scenery of the National Park of Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise.

In August there it is held the event "Agosto Castellano". From the 17th to the 22nd of August the Cultural Association "Pandora" organizes the "estate Organistica", during which are played ancient pipe organs from the Alto Sangro and, above all, the one of the Basilica di Santa Maria Assunta, in Castel di Sangro.

Always in August, in the first two weeks of the month, the Cultural Association "La Clessidra" plans the "Festa dei Giovani", with games and cultural events that are devoted above all to a younger audience.

At the theatre "F. P. tosti" it is held, all year long, the Aufidena Musica, with musical and theatrical shows. By some years it is also held the September Fest, the feast of the beer, that lasts for 4/5 days between the end of August and the first days of September, on the occasion of which it is set up a big tent close to the stadium, where it is possible to have dinner and enjoy evening musical shows and, after midnight, to dance.

On the occasion of the Patron Saint, San Rufo (the 27th of August), there is a big festival and it is not uncommon to enjoy a concert by a famous artist; at following, an amazing fireworks show. Between October and November it is held the Made in Italy Film Festival, movie festival that is organized by the Association 70Eventi, to honor the Italian essay cinema.
